Muzaffarnagar tense again

Muzaffarnagar is tense again. Late on Wednesday in a communal clash 3 persons lost their lives. It is to be noted here that the place already had a strained atmosphere with the communal violence in the past and this was going to have an adverse effect on the situation here. At Phugana in Shamli district couple was stabbed and then shot at which had aggravated the tension. Police chief Deo Raj Nagaris has reached at Muzaffarnagar after being sent by CM Akhilesh Yadav. He is accompanied by Inspector General of Police (Law and Order) R.K. Vishwakarma. The stabbing incident appear to be communal in nature this has been stated Vishwakarma. The police are searching frantically for the culprits and trying to determine what may be the reason behind this. The women’s body was kept on the road by the angry villagers thus obstructing the vehicle movement. The agitation of the villagers has the support of the Khap Panchayats, which is a reason for concern as this may turn into a violent situation.

On Wednesday evening communal clashes happened in Bhaurankalan police station area of Muzaffarnagar between two groups which resulted in the death of three people. Police teams have been deployed here. The three who lost their lives were Muslims. A retired army person Rajendra Singh stated he was attacked by Muslim youths when he was there at the field and villagers came to his save him when he raised the alarm. There was fire exchange in which the three youth died. Rajendra Singh’s version is being analyzed.

Jethmalani files suit, Delhi High Court summons BJP members

Summons was issued by the Delhi High Court to the BJP and its parliamentary board members acting on a civil defamation case submitted by the senior advocate, Ram Jethmalani. This is related to his expulsion from BJP on May 28. In his case Jethmalani has asked for a damage compensation of Rs.50 lakh from all the board members, except Narendra Modi and Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Also he has demanded that the board's decision be declared as"null and void". The joint registrar of Delhi High Court has directed BJP to submit their response by January 30. His advocate Ashok Arora informed the court that Jethmalani was removed as he supported Modi as the prime ministerial candidate for 2014 general elections, and there were other people in the party who were vying for this. Jethmalani faced expulsion for six years from primary membership as he attacked Swaraj and Jaitley openly.

Data rates for Vodafone reduced by 80%

As a Diwali offer to its customers Vodafone has reduced the data rates by 80% in all the circles of the country. This will be effective from November 1. Vodafone India had earlier slashed the rates in June for UP West, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka from 10p per 10kb to 2p per 10kb. This was a pilot project of the company which was successful so now they have rolled it on pan-India basis. This is applicable both to pre-paid and post-paid customers for 2G and would not need them to buy any plan for the same. The same rates will be there even in roaming. This initiative is to attract customers to mobile internet.

Not playing the typical villain in Dhoom 3: Aamir

Aamir Khan is eagerly awaiting the release of 'Dhoom 3'. He had stated that he will not be essaying the character of a typical villain. He said the way the villains are portrayed in Dhoom series is different. It is not an out and out negative character and the shades of grey are there. It is the situation which has transformed the person in a negative character. Aamir Khan is essaying the role of clown thief in this movie. He is paired along with Katrina Kaif who portrays the character of an acrobat. In the other two editions of Dhoom the role of the villain was essayed by John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan.

Saurav Ghosal creates history in squash

Saurav Ghosal created history as he is the first Indian to who has got entry into the quarter-finals of the AJ Bell PSA World Squash Championship. This is the most acclaimed competition in the game. Ranked 17 in the world, Ghosal was down in two games but then etched a historic win over Finland’s Henrik Mustonen who is ranked 40th. The match which was very exciting had the following score 5-11, 8-11, 11-8, 11-4, 11-2. Now today night he will meet Egypet’s Ramy Ashour who is World No.1. He had earlier scored a round of 16 finish in 2012 which was his best till date.

Dell Ultrabooks smell of cat urine, company says no biological contamination

An unusual and embarrassing situation has emerged for computer major Dell. Their Latitude 6430u Ultrabooks have a filthy smell of cat urine. The company has stated there is no biological contamination but at the same time no explanation has been given to why this had happened. The people who had bought the ultrabooks had got the smell emanating from the keyboards. It did not stop even when the parts were replaced like the motherboard, palm rest and the keyboard. Even the process of using compressed air was used to clean the air vents. Dell has stated it is looking into the matter and would come up with a solution which ends this problem.
