Accoland is a new water park in Guwahati, built with latest and popular water sports. The park is 21km from Guwahati and 2 km from Guwahati Airport, at the base of a wooded hill. After driving 1 hour from Guwahati, a small road leads to a blind end, welcomed by a spacious parking lot. A castle like building stood in front.

It has become so popular that many youngsters in North East know about it. Within these few years it has also become a much visited destination. Surprisingly the secluded location and the distance from the city have not hampered its popularity. Today many youngsters even in Shillong prefer going to Accoland than other destination in the city. In a way it is redefining ‘fun’ to the younger generation.

Food is not allowed inside the park, but one can bring packed food and eat it outside the park. There is a rest house outside the park, just perfect for that but there is a great canteen inside the park as well, where visitors can enjoy meals.

The park has all kinds of water sports and is the largest water park in North East. Designed for family trips it has sports for both adults and kids. The park is well built like a small kingdom and the outer castle like architect was impressive. Accoland also has giant installations of characters from popular kid’s stories, like the Pied Piper, pirates and Micky Mouse, which looked amazing and fit right into this wonderland.

Accoland also has the largest water coaster in India, including the Tornado and Boomerang. The Tornado game involves launching rafts from a height of 50 ft and though it is a thrilling game a word of caution must go out for the faint hearted. The Pirate Ship is the first of its kind in India; this multi platform water play system also features the tilting bucket and is popular with both adult and kids.

Some of the popular sports here are Aqua Thrill, Baby Train, Caterpillar Ride, Queen’s Bay, Bumper Cars, Columbia Ride, Long Flume, The Pirate Ship, Dragon Coaster, African Pythons etc.
