Notable Personalities Expressed Their Views through TweetsUpdate – 8th March 2019

BSP chief Mayawati tweeted that “Hon’ble Supreme Court’s order to constitute in-camera mediation (in Faizabad) in order to resolve the Ayodhya matter seems an honest effort. Hon’ble Court looking for “a possibility of healing relationships” is an appreciable move. BSP welcomes it,”

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar tweeted “Respecting everyone, turning dreams to reality, ending long-standing conflicts happily and maintaining harmony in society – we must all move together towards these goals.”

Salman Khurshid tweeted “Supreme Court has opened historic opportunity for us Indians to reaffirm the path of togetherness and harmony. Mediation in Ayodhya matter can show the path to the shared destiny of Hindus and Muslims. No winner-loser syndrome only winners: Indians & India.”

Committee Members on their AppointmentUpdate – 8th March 2019

One of the committee members, Justice FM Ibrahim Kalifullah has stated that “I’m yet to received order copy. I can say if committee has been constituted we’ll take every effort to resolve the issue amicably.”

Asaduddin Owaisi has opined on Sri Sri’s appointment, stating that “We hope he will remain neutral. Other mediators don’t have on record statements.”

Sriram Panchu, another mediation committee, has stated that “It is a very serious responsibility given to me by the Hon’ble Supreme Court. I will do my best.”

Constitution Bench to Look into Ram Temple IssueUpdate – 8th March 2019

There is another turn to the long pending issue of Ram temple. Today a 5 judge constitution bench, by the order of the Supreme Court, will decide if the issue can be solved by mediation. The mediation committee includes 3 members – Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, senior advocate Sriram Panchu, and Supreme Court judge Justice FM Ibrahim Kalifulla.
