21 Dead in Boat Accident in Andaman<\/h2>\n

A boat mishap occurred near Port Blair, Andaman, claiming 21 lives and leaving 13 injured.<\/p>\n

The boat named Aqua Marine<\/i> was occupied by 43 people, including a group from Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, and one from Mumbai, at the time of the mishap. The accident took place at four in the evening between North Bay and Ross Island.<\/p>\n

The rescue operation was carried out after two hours of the incident by the Coast Guard. As per the updates provided by Deputy Commissioner P. Jawahar, 13 people were rescued and sent to the G.B. Pant hospital.<\/p>\n

The police officer on duty stated, \u201cAround 21 people have been declared dead. Thirteen people have been rescued so far and the remaining are missing. A magisterial enquiry has been ordered into the incident. Lt. Governor is reviewing the situation.\u201d<\/p>\n

The victims have been promised a compensation of Rs. 1 lakh by the government.<\/p>\n
