Dehradun-Varanasi Janta\u00a0Express Derails Killing 22 and Injuring 150<\/h2>\n

Three coaches of Dehradun-Varanasi Janta\u00a0Express derailed in Bachhrawan in Uttar Pradesh on Friday morning. As per the reports, the ill-fated incident killed 22 and injured 150 and also led to the disruption in rail traffic. The fateful incident occurred after the brakes of the locomotive failed.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0The UP government has announced \u00a0ex gratia payment of \u00a0Rs 2 lakh to kin of people who have died and Rs 50,000 for\u00a0those who were injured.<\/p>\n
