Indian Celebrities and Their Special Cars

India is home to the largest number of celebrities in the world. Ranging from movie stars to musicians and sportsmen and women, most of these celebrities are smitten by their love for powerful machines and sometimes go out of their way to get their hands on them. There isn’t any brand or model that hasn’t found its way into the homes of these stars, and just like fresh additions to their wardrobes, they make sure their garages are just as swanky and outspoken. From Range Rovers to Volvos, Jeeps to Lamborghinis, Rolls Royces to Bentleys, and Maybachs to BMW’s M series, our celebrities seem to have them all.

BMW 7 Series

The BMW 7 series seems to be the most popular choice among sedans, and many celebrities, including Sanjay Dutt, Shahrukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, and veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, all have at least one in their garage. It has seven variants on offer, with three distinct powertrain options – a 3-litre six-cylinder diesel, 3-litre six-cylinder petrol, and a massive 6.6-litre V12 petrol. The price tags of these models range from Rupees 1.2 crores to 2.5 crores.

Range Rover Velar

Rising among popular celebrity choices of cars is Land Rover’s bold and massive new addition to their luxury SUV portfolio – the Velar. Punjabi music sensation Ammy Virk has just gotten his hands on one, and after what must’ve been an exhilarating sequence of thrills, and spoils in comfort, gifted it to his parents. He has recently posted a picture of his mother and father posing beside the big Black SUV, on his Instagram page. Also seen with a brand new white Velar is Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif, who also posted a picture of herself with the car, on her Instagram page.

Audi Q7

Another popular buy is the big and beautiful Audi Q7, the German automaker’s latest upgrade to its premium SUV flagship. Among those who’ve rushed to get their hands on one is the rising actress Kriti Sanon, known for her work in movies like Bareilly ki Barfi and the upcoming multi-starred Housefull 4. The Q7 that Kriti has gotten herself is the 3.0-litre V6 variant, which produces 245 Bhp and 600 Nm of torque. Her new ride is capable of doing 0-100 kmph in just 7 seconds despite its massive size and weight.’

Lamborghini Urus

Known for exaggerated action sequences and projectile cars in his movies, Bollywood director Rohit Shetty is quite the automobile enthusiast. With a garage collection that seems straight out of an offering from the “Need for Speed” franchise, his love for performance machines is more fact than news. His latest acquisition is the world’s fastest production SUV from the company that makes some of the world’s fastest supercars cars. The Lamborghini Urus has found respect and awe among the rich and celebrated, and has found its way to fifty such homes. Lamborghini Urus, priced at a little above Rs. 3 Crores, the aerodynamic high-performance SUV is powered by a 4.0 litre V8 with twin turbochargers that produce over 640 bhp and 850 Nm of torque at its peak. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with a four-wheel drive. Among his other prized possessions on wheels are the Ford Mustang, Range Rover Sport, and a 4.7-litre V8 petrol Maserati GranTurismo that chugs out 453 Bhp and 520 Nm of torque.

The Urus has undoubtedly become the Italian supercar manufacturer’s most desired offering and also the most bought Lamborghini in a year. Among recent acquirers of this super SUV is Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh who is yet another automobile aficionado. His car collection includes some of the most bespoke rides money can buy. They include the likes of the Mercedes Benz S-class Mayback, Jaguar XJL, Range Rover Sport, Aston Martin Rapide, and custom painted matte black Mercedes Benz GLS.

Launched in India this year, the Huracan is powered by a 5.3 litre naturally aspirated V10 with unrestricted tuning. Owing to its exclusivity, it is only available in one color, called the Arancio Xanto. The car cost him almost 3.8 crores, and he was later seen taking a spin with his younger brother Krunal Pandya.

Hardik also owns a Mercedes G63 AMG SUV, one of the top hundred in the list of most desirable cars in the world, with a price tag of a little over rupees 2.2 crores.
