National Cricket Academy

The National Cricket Academy at Bangalore is the official cricket academy run by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). As a result of being backed by the national administrator, it is the finest of its kind in India. The academy was set up in 2000 at Chinnaswamy Stadium. Till date, several legendary cricketers have been associated with it such as Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Anil Kumble, and Ravi Shastri. The general aim of this academy to keep improving the game in India and it is equipped all the latest and best facilities for the emerging talent in India as well as current national team members. In fact, all the camps of the men’s national team, A team, and under 19 team are held over here.

Karnataka Institute of Cricket

Karnataka Institute of Cricket (KIOC) is one of the most well known cricket academies of India. It is located right in the heart of Bangalore and was established in 1996. The academy has connections with similar academies from various parts of the world. In fact, it is the only cricket academy of the country that offers courses all around the year. The academy enjoys an excellent reputation and apart from India it has students from countries such as England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia. It has a varied curriculum with fitness programmes, technical analyses, and academic sessions.

Neerja Modi Cricket Academy  

Known more as NMCA, Neerja Modi Cricket Academy is located in Jaipur. It was set up by Vinod Mathur in 2001. The academy has all the best cricketing facilities that any aspiring cricketer can ask for and also has coaches who are experts to boot. Thanks to a combination of all these factors NMCA has now become a name to be reckoned with in the domain of Indian cricket. Vinod Mathur, the head coach of this academy, himself captained the Ranji team of Rajasthan and is now a member of BCCI’s technical committee. Pankaj Singh who has played for Indian team recently is one of the coaches over here.

Jaipur Cricket Academy

Jaipur can also boast of a second top class cricket academy – Jaipur Cricket Academy. In fact, it is said to have some of the best training facilities and coaches in India. Shamsher Singh, a former Ranji player for Rajasthan, set up the academy in 2010. The academy has continued even after his premature death in 2013. It aims to make available to its wards a convenient atmosphere where they can be coached properly and then develop to their truest potential. It attempts to teach them new skills as and when it is possible. Coaching courses are available at all times in a year. The main coaches here are Devendra Pal Singh and Mohammad Habib.

National School of Cricket

The National School of Cricket is located at a distance of almost 15 km from Purukul in Dehradun. It is one of the top upcoming cricket academies in India that provides all the latest and best facilities to its students. In fact, the coaching facilities and ground quality over here have received approval from International Cricket Council (ICC), which should tell you something about the quality of this academy.
