Churme Ke Laddu is a delicious dish from the state of Rajasthan and is made with coarse wheat flour and desi ghee with loads of dry fruits. It is more so loved in the winter season and once made, they can be stored for a few days. They go well as a dessert however I just keep them out for the day and my family just loves to eat it through the day as and when they like. It can be made with regular wheat flour, however the coarse flour makes them better. Its fairly easy to make these and you can use this Churme Ke Laddu Recipe for your preparation.

(makes about 15/18 pieces)

Wheat flour – 2 cup (preferably coarse flour)

Desi ghee – 1 cup + for frying

Sugar – 2 cup

Dry fruits – 1 cup (chopped) (I used almonds, cashew nuts, kishmish, pista)

Green elaichi – 15/18 (powdered)

How to make Churme Ke Laddu

Add 4 tbsp ghee in the wheat flour and knead a tight dough. (Use water as needed)

Keep the dough aside for about 10-15 min.

Make about 5/6 balls with this dough and roll into a round disc about 1 cm thick.

Heat desi ghee in a pan and deep fry the discs until golden brown. Cover and keep aside.

Take 1 tbsp ghee and add the chopped dry fruits and fry lightly.

Break the dried discs and blend it into a coarse powder.

Fry the coarse powder for 2-3 min on medium heat.

Add remaining desi ghee, dry fruits, elaichi powder and sugar.

Use this mixture to form Churme Ke Laddu with hands.

Serve or store in air tight container.
