Ingredients needed for Shahi Tukda

Bread slices – 4

Ghee for frying

Full cream milk – 1 lt

Sugar – 1/4 cup and 1/2 cup

Water – 1 cup

Saffron – few strands

Slivers of almonds and pistachios to garnish

How to make Shahi Tukda Recipe

Remove the corners of the bread slices and cut them diagonally.

Deep fry in ghee till golden brown.

Heat milk and saffron in a heavy bottom pan.

Heat till is reduced to half.

Add sugar and heat for a minute.

Heat sugar and water in a pan.

Cook for 10 minutes.

Soak the bread slices in sugar syrup.

Top with reduced milk.

Garnish with almonds and pistachios.

Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
