The Indian Order of Precedence is the hierarchy of the important positions. It is the protocol list in which the functionaries, dignitaries and the officials of India are listed as per their ranks and offices they hold in the Government of India.

The order of the Precedence in India is only to indicate the ceremonial protocol. It is not applicable in the day-to-day functioning of the Government of India. It is only meant for the State and ceremonial occasions. Also, it has no legal standing and does not reflect the Indian Presidential line of succession.
