How Aarogya Setu Fights COVID-19 in India

Aarogya Setu app create awareness

Seeing the susceptibility of the novel coronavirus, the Aarogaya Setu app will generate awareness and inform as well as alert people if they have crossed paths with someone who has tested COVID-19 positive. It tracks through a Bluetooth and location generated social graph and also your interaction with someone who has tested positive. Instructions accompany the app alerts on how to self-isolate and what to do in case you develop symptoms that may need help and support.

The app available in 11 languages

Aarogya Setu is accessible in 10 Indian languages, along with the English language, and it is available both on Android and iOS platforms. Credit should go to the Indian government for developing this app. Anyone can download this app on Google’s Play Store and Apple App Store.

Aarogya Setu traces the users’ movement. It is a self-assessment tool. The user of this app will have to answer several questions. If some answers suggest the symptoms of coronavirus, then the app sends all the essential data to the government server, which helps the government to take timely action and start the isolation process, if required. The app instructs how to self-isolate and what steps should be taken if anyone develops symptoms.

Aarogya Setu provides safety tips

The app will also suggest you go for a test if you have crossed by or live in a high-risk region. You will be directed to call on 1075 (a toll-free number) to fix an appointment close to your testing centre. Besides, the chatbot on the app answers to your queries and shares various tips to get away from the deadly COVID-19.
