6. Gandhi My Father (2007)

Directed by the well-known personality of the theatre world Feroz Abbas Khan, the movie Gandhi My Father explores the troubled relationship of Gandhi with his son Harilal. It is based on Harilal’s biography which depicts how Gandhi despite being the Father of the Nation couldn’t become a good father for his son Harilal Gandhi. The films explore the sensitive topic untouched by many. Gandhi My Father was well-received by the audience and received three National Awards.
