ED team interrogates Chidambaram at Tihar Jail

Officials of Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigating team on Wednesday interrogated former finance minister P Chidambaram at the Tihar Jail in the INX Media money laundering case. The senior Congress leader was arrested on August 21 in this case.

Dr Nivedita Bijlani, a depositor of scam hit Punjab & Maharashtra Cooperative Bank (PMC) allegedly committed suicide on Monday, while another depositor of the same Bank Sanjay Gulati died of heart attack on the same day.

India, Bangladesh match ends in 1-1 draw

India played a 1-1 draw on Tuesday against Bangladesh in the Group E, FIFA 2022 World Cup Qualifier second round match at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata. Bangladesh took the lead in the 42nd minute, while Adil Khan scored the equaliser for India in the 88th minute of the match.

Disable persons exempt from odd-even scheme

Disable persons have been exempted from the rules of the odd-even scheme, stated by chief minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday. The rule is set to be imposed in Delhi again from November 4-15. Kejriwal promised to exempt women from this rule last week.

No print of 2000-note in current financial year: RBI
