Indra Nooyi shot to prominence in 2001 when she became the CEO of PepsiCo, and went on to become its President and CEO in 2006. During her 12-year stint as CEO, its sales increased by 80%. While she ranked consistently among Forbes magazine’s “The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women” from 2008 to 2017, Fortune magazine ranked her No. 1 in the list of “Most Powerful Women in business” from 2006 to 2010. Indra Nooyi is currently one of the directors on the board of Amazon.
