Movie Plot – Aakash (Ayushmann Khurrana) is a Pune based blind pianist who is desperately trying to complete a tune. He is also frustrated with the expectations of people around him who are stereotypical enough to think that disability sharpens a creative mind so he can easily wrap up that melody. Aakash also meets a girl named Sophie (Radhika Apte) who is the daughter of a popular club owner and is unmoved by his struggle. She tells Aakash that it is incompleteness which gives certain things their finish.

Coming to the other side we meet Simi (Tabu) a glamorous lady living in the posher quarter of the metropolis with her wealthy husband Pramod Sinha (Anil Dhawan) who is a forgotten Hindi film star. Simi’s intention is to find a career in the film industry with the help of Pramod’s connection.

It is from these two unconnected strands the director Sriram Raghavan has tried to weave a black comedy which leaves you breathless and is breathtaking at the same time.

Movie Review – Boasting of brilliant plot and extraordinary screenplay, Andhadhun has a carefully crafted narrative. There are audacious characters and constant twists and turns which keeps you riveted throughout the movie. The first half has palpitating tension and suspense weaved in classic comedy style while the second half in comparison has a chaotic build up. But, the spectacular climax has compensated for it.

Coming to the characters of the movie, we can say this film belongs to Ayushmann Khurrana who has not even once stumbled in playing blind throughout the movie. Tabu has also given one of the finest performances of her career in Andhadhun. She has effortlessly displayed her chameleonic talent in acting as she appears at ease while playing a woman of many faces. Apte also had established her versatility in Andhadhun.

Our verdict – There are such bizarre situations occurring in every five minutes that you can’t take your eyes off throughout the movie. After watching Andhadhun you are not going to see the piano as just another instrument. This nerve-racking tale of crime and deceit is a must watch this weekend!.
