It might be true that most of the movies in Bollywood are blatant copies of the popular Hollywood flicks. But if you plan on making an official remake, you have to deal with the pressures of comparison! This is exactly what Siddharth Anand’s Bang Bang will be dealing with unfortunately. After evoking such high expectations and excitement, we finally got to see the official Hindi remake of Knight and Day. Adhering exactly to the original, Bang Bang turns out to be an unimaginative bland version of the Hollywood action-thriller.

Plot: A simple pretty girl Harleen is leading a boring life as a Bank Receptionist until she meets a very dashing thief who is being chased for stealing away the Kohinoor from London. A small encounter with this man transforms her monotonous life into a thrilling ride of suspense.

Performances: Whether or not the film lives up to the international standards, Hrithik Roshan has for sure proved his profound caliber of performing like a Hollywood star! I bet you won’t be able to take your eyes off this man even for a second. He has an amazing grip over his skills which makes him breeze through his part with so much ease. His Greek looks and ultra-seductive demeanor will only make wonder how one can be so frigging good looking! Bang Bang truly belongs to this super talented man!

Katrina Kaif looks gorgeously pretty and attractive. She is perfectly cute and innocent as Harleen and does a good job in keeping up the stature of her co-star. Her acting capabilities, however, seem to be on a stagnant mode with no scope of improvement.

Danny Denzongpa and Javed Jaffrey are half as menacing as they were expected to be as villains. Both the actors are left unused.

Music: The music of Bang Bang is something worth mentioning about. The album is a super amazing composition by Vishal and Shekhar. With just four songs to its kitty, the compilation is short yet effective. The mind-boggling dance moves of Hrithik Roshan have added to jewels to the album. The best one: Bang Bang!

What’s Good: The best thing about Bang Bang has to be this unbelievably hot man, Hrithik Roshan! His acting, his demeanor and his moves will sweep you off your feet totally. The action and cinematography is quite impressive and so is the choreography of the songs. The music also adds points to the good notes about the film.

What’s Bad: Bang Bang has been palpably copied rather than adding innovations to the original. When compared to Knight and Day, it lacks on thrill and action. The plot seems to have lost its way and second half seems to be dragging itself to the end.

After watching Bang Bang, I have realized that despite of all the hard earned efforts the Indian filmmakers are still lagging behind in comparison with Hollywood. Perhaps, making a remake of Hollywood flicks is not really a good idea. Bang Bang may have mounted sky-high expectations owing to its cool-quotient but as a remake it fails to do any good. Having said that, I would definitely not like to undermine the extraordinary caliber of a terrific actor like Hrithik Roshan! Bang Bang owes it success to the breath-taking performance by him!

Verdict: Watch Hrithik hit your heart bang bang with his smashing performance!
