Movie Plot:
Based on epic Indian mythology, Ramayana, the movie is a story in which Hanuman, the leader of monkeys fights with Mahiravana, the brother of Ravana, to protect the lives of Rama and Lakshmana. The story suggests that when Ravana became defenceless in the battlefield, Rama resisted killing him and the two decided to resume the battle the next day. However, Ravana plays a trick and asks his sorcerer brother, Mahiravana to hoodwink Hanuman and kidnap both brothers, Rama and Laxmana. Thus, entailing a plot in which Hanuman sets off to kill Mahiravana and rescue both.

Movie Review:
The 3D animation showing the plot of “good versus evil” is not new, but not many would have heard about this plotline in Ramayana. However, the thrill would be missing, as everyone is already assured enough that Hanuman will succeed in his aim, as otherwise we wouldn’t be celebrating Diwali, right? There are no twists, and the concept is plain. The good characters have the spiritual touch and the dark characters have the clever instincts. The storyline is similar to the old fables we heard during our bed-time from our parents. Since, the animated films of the west already excite the audience and kids a lot more, this movie might not reach the level of high expectations in terms of screen effects.

Our Verdict:
Children expect an engaging experience when they go to watch animated movies, but they will be disappointed if they are expecting “international level” dynamic effects. Nevertheless, the narrative, sound quality and dialogues leave a positive impact in the movie.
