About Hate Story 3 Movie

To watch the sequel of a movie does not necessarily mean that you must have seen its prequel too. Same is the case with Hate Story 3!The third in the series of the ‘Hate Story’ saga, it has a completely new star cast and story. Although, it has no connection to its prequels, it takes the audience through the emotions of love, relationships, betrayal, hatred and vengeance. All the four actors in this erotic thriller are trying to carve a niche in Bollywood. This is the first time that we got to see Sharman Joshi, Zarine Khan and Daisy Shah in such bold roles. Both the prequels of Hate Story 3 did not manage to gain much at the box-office; let us see how much impact this new version will leave on the audiences.

Hate Story 3 Plot

Aditya Diwan (Sharman Joshi) is an industrialist married to Siya Diwan (Zarine Khan). He is taking caring of his family business and fortune after the death of his elder brother Vikram Diwan. One day, an unknown businessman Saurav Singhania (Karan Singh Grover) enters into the Diwans’ lives and makes an unbelievable offer to them. After this, begins the story of love, destruction and revenge. Aditya and Siya are helped by Aditya’s loyal employee Kayaa Sharma (Daisy Sharma) to track the intentions of Saurav. Do Aditya and Siya manage to reveal Saurav’s real intentions and how will they face the situation?

Hate Story 3 Performances

There is not much to say about the performances of any of the actors in the film. In fact, it would not be wrong to say that none of them has concentrated on the acting. Yes! There are neither expressions nor emotions in any of the performances.

Sharman Joshi is the biggest disappointment in the film. After watching him in Hate Story 3, one will surely doubt that he is the same actor who gave such good performances in films like 3 Idiots and Ferrari ki Sawaari. This one is definitely the worst performance of his career.

Karan Singh Grover, who is shown as the bad soul, has failed in every aspect. He keeps swaying between two specific facial expressions in the entire film and keeps twitching his face weirdly. It seems he signed the movie only because he got a chance to do some skimpy scenes with both the actresses; otherwise, he puts no effort at all in his role.

Talking about the female leads of Hate Story 3, both Zarine and Daisy are trying hard to get noticed in Bollywood; a reason which might have forced them to take up such bold roles. Oops! Sorry! Not the bold roles but only some bold scenes.

Zarine Khan’s acting is easily passable. Her dialogue delivery is so bad that you will want her to pass from the screen as soon as possible. Besides, doing some skin show by wearing low neckline clothes and few intimate scenes, she has not much to do in the film.

This is the second movie of Daisy Shah after Jai Ho. Playing the role of Sharman’s secretary; she has been presented to us as an intelligent and smart woman. However, she completely failed to carry off such a role and character. She tried to make a bold attempt with this movie, but was not able to deliver a satisfactory performance.

After a long time, Priyanshu Chatterjee will be seen in a cameo in the film.

Vikram Bhatt has tried to write a solid erotic thriller with many twists and turns, but unfortunately did not succeed in drawing the attention of the audience. This is Director Vishal Pandya’s second film in the Hate Story series. His biggest flaw lies in the fact that he was not able to get acting done by any of the lead actors/actresses. It seems clear that in order to frame his movie as an erotic thriller, he has stuffed the intimate scenes in the songs of the film, which were not at all required.

In case, after watching the trailers, you think it will turn out to be a really bold film, then you will definitely be disappointed as there is no skin show, except for the songs.

Hate Story 3 Music

For an erotic thriller, the music of the film too has to be sensuous, sensational and captivating. The music directors of Hate Story 3 have tried their best to keep the sensation alive in their tracks. Although, the music is not outstanding but you will not hate it too as a couple of songs are good to hear. The new version of an old song from the film Sadak, ‘Tumhe Apna Banane…’ has been featured in the film with new lyrics, which is also the best song in the entire album. The only flaw with the songs is that they are not placed well in the film.

What’s Good?

There are some elements and moments of thrill in the film which may force you to think what, why, when, who?

What’s Bad?

The poor performance of the actors is the biggest let down in the film. Their overdramatic performances ruin it completely. The erotic scenes are unnecessary and amateurish. Direction, cinematography and dialogues – all are too weak in the movie.

Verdict:

This revenge drama can be easily avoided. Do not get tempted by its trailer, as there is neither boldness nor drama in this film.
