About Movie Housefull 3

As a light-hearted romantic comedy, Housefull 3 is the third instalment of the Houseful series. Directed by director duo Sajid Samji and Farhad Samji, Housefull 3 has been mainly filmed in London and New Delhi. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson, the movie has Abhishek Bachchan joining the team for the first time. Housefull 3 revolves around three men who leave no stone unturned in convincing a father that they are the perfect match for his daughters. Boasting of a huge ensemble cast, Housefull 3 will definitely tickle your funny bone.

Plot

As an out and out comedy flick, Housefull 3 starts with Batok Patel (played by Boman Irani) who doesn’t want his daughters to get married ever. Next is the arrival of our heroes, Sandy/Sundi(played by Akshay Kumar), Bunty(played by Abhishek Bachchan) and Teddy(played by Riteish Deshmukh). Batok’s three daughters, Gracy Patel(played by Jackqueline Fernandez), Sarah Patel(played by Nargis Fakhri) and Jenny Patel(played by Lisa Haydon) fall for Sandy/Sundi, Bunty and Teddy respectively and want to marry them. Urja Nagre (played by Jackie Shroff) is the villain in this romantic comedy. Housefull 3 is all about how the three guys struggle in order to woo the girls’ father to let them tie the knot and the difficulties that these boys face throughout this tough journey.

Housefull 3 is the perfect Bollywood masala movie loaded with songs, dance, action and over the top comedy. With Akshay Kumar playing the lead role, the flick is expected to open to commendable Box Office Collections.

Performances

After giving back to back hits movies like Baby, Airlift and Holiday, the super talented actor, Akshay Kumar (Sandy/Sundi) is back with a bang. This time with comedy, Kumar has proved that he is the king of comedy and capable of fitting into every kind of character. Whether it’s chilling out with his BFF Riteish Deshmukh(Teddy) or romancing a new girl in every instalment of Houseful series, Akshay does it brilliantly. In Housefull 3 as well, Akshay has delivered a phenomenal performance.

Next is Riteish Deshmukh(Teddy) who has done complete justice to his role in Housefull 3. He has become a brand of comedy. It’s quite hard to imagine Housefull series without Riteish and in Housefull 3 too, he has been successful in impressing the audience remarkably.

Abhishek Bachchan is the new entry in the Housefull series. In Housefull 3, Junior Bachchan will be seen in an all-new avatar with tattoos and piercing. After having rapped for the hit song “Right Here Right Now” in the 2005 hit movie Bluffmaster, Abhishek will be seen rapping for the second time in Housefull 3. Portraying the role of a ‘cool dude’ Jr. Bachchan has definitely succeeded in gathering applauds. His comic timing is exceptional throughout the movie.

Now, coming to the ladies in Housefull 3. All three, Jackqueline Fernanadez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon have added the glamour quotient into the movie. Their pretty faces have served as the huge point for the flick.

Boman Irani as Batok Patel has been successful in winning brownie points with his outstanding performance. With Housefull 3, Irani has proved that he is a gem of a comic actor.

Jackie Shroff (Urja Nagre) as the villain has delivered a power-packed performance by uttering dialogues in a way that the audiences would get enthralled and entertained in an equal proportion.

Housefull 3 Music

Housefull 3 has a four-song music album composed by mixed artists. It takes off with a peppy number “Pyar Ki”, which is loaded with quirky lyrics and is expected to become a party song.

Next is “Taang Uthake”, which is a dance number and a complete entertainer. Beautified with Mika Singh’s vocals, this song is of an upbeat nature and capable of grabbing everyone’s attention instantly.

Third in the row is “Malamaal”, which is a Punjabi number complemented by an interesting video. Sung by Mika Singh, this track would definitely top the popularity charts during the wedding season.

Last one in the album is “Fake Ishq”, which is brilliantly sung by veteran singer Kailash Kher. With a tint of Qawwali, this song has quite a bit of resemblance to “Ishq Risk” from the movie Mere Brother Ki Dulhan released in 2011.

What’s Good?

This romantic comedy has it all. Powerful dialogues, superb direction and melodious sound track are the major positives and will leave you on a positive note.

What’s Bad?

As an utterly brainless comedy, Housefull 3 has some plotholes including repetitive comic sequences, poor VFX, weak storyline, over the top screenplay etc. On a technical front, the movie falls flat on its face.

Verdict

Go and watch Housefull 3 if you’re a die-hard Akshay Kumar fan and totally admire his comic timing.
