About Movie Love Games

As an urban-thriller movie directed by Vikram Bhatt, Love Games features Patralekha of Citylights fame. Making his debut with this movie is Gaurav Arora. Love Games also has Tara Alisha Berry in the lead role along with Patralekha and Gaurav Arora. Appearing to be bold and sensational, Love Games is based on swingers- people who are in a relationship but also like being physically intimate with others. Both, Patralekha and Gaurav have maintained an excellent chemistry throughout the movie and the suspense thriller is definitely going to gather several appreciations.

Plot

As is easily predictable from the name, Love Game is a movie based on the game of love, lust and cheating. Directed by Vikram Bhatt, the movie revolves around a couple (played by Patralekha and Gaurav) who is extremely active in attending page 3 parties in search of a happy couple and later try to break their happy and peaceful relationship. Both, Sam (played by Gaurav Arora) and Ramona (played by Patralekha) on finding a new couple insist each other to be the first one to be physically intimate with the discovered guy or gal. Calling this activity as love game, the guy(Sam) falls in love with the discovered girl(played by Tara Alisha Berry) and hence breaks off with his previous lady(played by Patralekha). Climax of the movie arrives when the previous lady is not willing to leave the guy. So, what happens next is for you to watch in the theaters near you.

Performances

Speaking about the performance in Love Games, well, both the leads have done a fabulous job. Patralekha (playing the role of Ramona) is a core feminine aggressor with an unusual accent. She has showcased all the lust, appeal and passion that is essential for playing a character that stays with the audience for a long time.

Next is the debutant Gaurav Arora who is seen playing the role of Sam. He has a good screen presence but lacks the much-needed power in dialogue delivery. Arora has put in a lot of hardwork to make his character believable. Then there is Tara Alisha Berry who has portrayed the role of Alisha. She has done complete justice to her role in the movie.

Love Games Music

Just like every other Vikram Bhatt movie, Love Games is also enriched with soothing music. The opening track titled ‘Awargi’ is a slow-paced, beautiful love song that has been sung by Sangeet Haldipur & Rasika Shekhar. Next is the title song ‘Love Games’ which comes with a 50’s cabaret feeling and has been superbly sung by Aanchal Srivastava. Yet another track that plays in the background is ‘Mohabbat’ sung by Sangeet Haldipur. For the very first time in the history of Hindi film songs, there is a track that comes with the title “Nirvana”. Sung by Mohan Kannan, this track has a haunting appeal to it. Next on the list is ‘Aye Dil’ which carries forward the haunting appeal. Tracks titled ‘Lock Him Up’ and ‘Poison’ also play vital roles in uncovering important plots in the movie.

What’s Good?

With a youthful concept, Love Games is definitely quite different from the usual Bollywood Masala flicks. The thrill of sexual aggression has been showcased in a bold way. Patralekha’s acting skills have been utilized in a fantastic format.

What’s Bad?

All the seven songs in Love Games seem to have been forcefully fitted into the story. The director, Vikram Bhatt has failed in executing the concept in a good way. The way he has exaggerated during the latter stages of the movie has definitely not worked in the flick’s favour. Even the minimal performances put in by the leads have not proved helpful for Love Games.

Verdict

Love Games can be avoided if you have better things to do this weekend. The movie lacks uniqueness even in the sensual way. So, you can simply skip this one.
