About Movie Sanam Re

A romantic-musical, ‘Sanam Re’ features a perfect chemistry between the rumoured off-screen couple Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam. Equipped with grand visuals and entertaining episodes, the movie has Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam playing the lead roles with model-turned actress Urvashi Rautela playing the character of a young expat socialite. Having caught everyone’s attention right from the day its theatrical trailer was released, Sanam Re is an ultimate pure love story. The movie also has Rishi Kapoor and stand-up comedienne Bharti Singh in crucial supportive roles. This Bollywood romantic drama is surely going to lure love birds this Valentine’s Weekend.

Plot

As a breezy rom-com film, Sanam Re revolves around the two little characters, Aakash (played by Pulkit Sarkar) and Shruti (played by Yami Gautam) and their innocent teenage love story. To achieve greater heights on the professional front, Aakash decides to move to a big town where he’s hit by the cupid and hence can’t stop himself from falling head over heels with Akansha (played by Urvashi Rautela). As expected, Aakash can’t get off the small town memories of his love affair with Shruti. To unwind the suspense of whether Shruti accepts Aakash’s love or leaves him after the betrayal, you have to watch the film.

Performances

With Sanam Re hitting the theatres today, audiences are bound to get impressed by the film’s great songs, childhood love, a sensuous third girl, a demure girl, flashbacks and a lot more. As the second offering by director Divya Khosla Kumar, Sanam Re has Pulkit Samrat wooing both Yami Gautam and Urvashi Rautela. Both Pulkit and Yami have done a fabulous job by playing characters that start as kids and eventually evolve into adults. Both have portrayed child-like reactions in an outstanding manner.

Sizzling beauty Urvashi Rautela has also done complete justice to her character. As Akansha, Urvashi looks hot in her dance sequences with Pulkit. She has impressively portrayed the character of a strong and independent businesswoman who’s hard on the outside but emotional on the inside. As a firm believer of love and romance, Akansha can go beyond boundaries to please the person she loves.

Playing the grandpa of Aakash(Pulkit), Rishi Kapoor has delivered a brilliant performance. The movie will offer you an eye-catching view of the cutest bond between Aakash and his grandpa. Bharti Singh of Comedy Circus fame also has a pivotal role in Sanam Re but the same is still kept under wraps to maintain the audiences’ curiosity.

Sanam Re Music

While the locales of ‘Sanam Re’ will serve as a complete delight for your eyes, the film’s music also deserves kudos. Director Divya Khosla Kumar has done a decent job of using the tracks to their utmost benefits. Songs including the title track and Gajab Ka Hai Ye Din have already topped the charts. Having choreographed the songs by herself, Divya deserves immense praise.

What’s Good?

Music, cinematography and good-looking actors are the upsides about ‘Sanam Re’. The ‘Rishi Kapoor’ factor has definitely worked in the favour of the film.

What’s Bad?

Despite multiple plot twists, Sanam Re’s two-hour duration feels stretched. Intensive effort put into the comic scenes has failed to strike a chord with the audience. A badly-written script has been unsuccessful in allowing the audience sympathize with the characters.

Verdict

Though ‘Sanam Re’ has already been buzzing courtesy the alleged Pulkit-Yami affair, go and watch the movie if you are a die hard romantic.
