What could be a bigger disappointment than seeing a substantial subject being wasted due to sheer lack of knowledge? Jabariya Jodi tapped into the theme of ‘groom-kidnapping’ which is still prevalent in some regions of India. Since it did not treat such a subject with dignity or the sensitivity it deserves, the movie doesn’t even get close to detailing the perplexity of the issue.
