Movie plot – The famous father-son trio has returned with third edition of Yamla Pagla Deewana. This time with a new story but it appears that entertainment is left far behind in the first edition. Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se takes the same route as the other two films of the franchise but there are no charismatic scenes to hold the audience. The plot of the film revolves around three men – Vaidh Puran (Sunny Deol), a doctor, his younger good for nothing brother Kaala (Bobby Deol) and their irascible paying guest Parmar (Dharmendra), who is a lawyer and hardly pays them any rent. Puran has inherited the legacy of some Ayurveda panacea ‘Vajrakavach’ from his ancestors which can cure all ills ranging from pimples to impotency. The life of this trio gets upside down when Cheeku (Kriti Kharbanda) enters their life to steal the Vajrakavach and also when the trio gets into a legal tussle with a corporate giant.

Movie Review – The movie appears exaggerated as the first half is overlong and basically over- romantic. A lot of time is wasted in portraying the love track between Kaala and Cheeku and it is only after the first half that comedy punches are introduced. The film goes a long way and tries hard to make the audience laugh out loud but is unable to reach any comedy milestone. The forced wackiness can be easily felt in the movie as there are only a few scenes which actually make us laugh.

The performance of Sunny Deol appears the most impressive in the movie and also acts as a driving force of it. Bobby, despite being given the maximum screen time is unable to cast a spell because of his weak character. Dharmendra looks quite refreshing but is not properly used in the movie. Kirti has performed her role well and she appears breathtakingly gorgeous throughout the film which give youngsters a reason to go ahead and watch this movie.

Our verdict – Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se is full of stereotypes and jokes which are not funny at times. Several dialogues appear repeated multiple times in first half of the movie. We would suggest you to go and watch the only if you are a fan of the Bobby-Sunny-Dharmendra trio.
