Arvind Kejriwal will be swearing-in as the CM of Delhi for the third time, this little guest will make a special appearance during the ceremony.

Arvind Kejriwal, the man of the moment who led the Aam Aadmi Party to a thumping victory in the recently concluded Delhi Assembly polls by bagging 62 out of 70 seats. The supremo of AAP is set to take oath as the chief minister of Delhi for the third consecutive term at Ramlila Maidan on Sunday at 10 am. Showing himself among the commoners, Kejriwal will share a jumbo stage with a coveted group of 60 people, belonging to different walks of life. They are being dubbed as ‘Dilli ke nirmata’ (architects of Delhi).

Kejriwal invites Modi

AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal has sent an invitation to prime minister Narendra Modi along with all the seven MPs of Delhi and eight winning candidates of BJP in the Delhi assembly polls for the swearing-in ceremony. The prime minister may not be part of Kejriwal’s oath-taking ceremony as per his schedule, PM Modi would be travelling to his parliamentary constituency Varanasi, on Sunday to unveil several projects.

No invitation for outsiders

Kejriwal’s oath-taking ceremony would be specific for the people of Delhi who have shown their faith in his leadership. Therefore, no chief ministers or leaders of other states have been invited to be part of the event. The grand finale will take place at Ramlila Maidan on February 16.

Kejriwal thanks voters

Acknowledging the mandate from Delhi, Kejriwal gave a big “I love you” shout-out to the city and thanked the people for reposing its faith in him. He further added that AAP’s victory will give birth to “kaam ki rajneeti (politics of work)”.

Baby Mufflerman, a special guest

All eyes are on a special guest “Baby Mufflerman” who has got a special invitation to participate in this auspicious event. The name of “little Mufflerman” is Avyaan Tomar, first seen at the AAP headquarters on February 11, the result day. He resembles Kejriwal having an AAP cap, trademark muffler of Kejriwal, spectacles and a moustache.

In a ‘big’ announcement on Twitter on Thursday, the AAP said, “Baby Mufflerman is invited to the swearing-in ceremony of Arvind Kejriwal on Feb 16.” Suit up, junior, the party tweeted.

Ramlila Ground is a happy hunting ground for Kejriwal. He made his political debut on this ground when he along with Anna Hazare led a massive agitation against corruption in 2011. MLAs ask to bring a big crowd

All the newly-elected MLAs have been asked to bring a huge crowd from their respective constituencies. The talk is in the air of the induction of two first-time MLAs Raghav Chadha and Atishi Marlena in the Kejriwal cabinet. The party sources said that all the ministers will be retained but their portfolios will be decided later.
