The second time-won Chief Minister of Telangana has had a remarkable time this year, albeit challenging. In September 2018, his decision to dissolve the state assembly came under harsh scrutiny and criticism. Naturally, many wondered if he would be able to come in for a second term, with the now hastened elections due in December.
However, fighting the risks of anti-incumbency, the KCR-led Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) managed to not only come back to power a second time but to do it with a proud majority. 88 of the total 119 seats were won by the party.
