Moto X Force Review

Moto X Force

Moto X Force

As part of its subsidiary brand Moto, Lenovo has launched the Moto X Force on 1st February at an initial price of INR 49,999. It is supposed to be the first ever shatterproof phone and is being regarded as an international variation of Droid Turbo 2.

What are the specifications?

The most striking specification of the Moto X Force is easily the Shattershield display screen. It is basically an AMOLED QHD display screen measuring 5.4 inches. It also has a 3GB RAM and uses a Snapdragon processor with 810 octa-core. It also has an Adreno 430 GPU.  The phone comes with a 3,760mAh battery and its operative software is Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. However, the makers have also said that from the next week onwards the phones could run on Marshmallow. The battery has turbo charging facilities and is capable of running for eight hours even if charged for just 15 minutes.

Shattershield explanations

The shatter-proof screen is made up of five different layers. It has aluminium chassis, dual-touch screens, an internal lens, and an external lens cover. The internal lens cover helps improve the quality of images, and the external lens cover makes sure that quality of images stays the same. The technology is such that the screen cannot virtually be broken. The dual-touch screens have been built in such a way that if one of the screens is damaged the other one can immediately take its place. Moto is also giving a warranty of four years for the screen. However, owners need to keep in mind that the screen, in spite of all its toughness and technological wizardry that has gone into making it, is vulnerable to scratches. In case the screens have too many scratches, then Moto will permit the users to change the same.

How much can the phone store?

The phone comes in two versions in terms of storage capacity – 32GB and 64GB. The one with 64GB storage space is worth INR 53,999. However, owners can always use a MicroSD card and enhance the capacity to 2 TB, which is a humongous amount.

What are the connectivity options?

Moto X Force comes with a single SIM. It has 4G LTE, Bluetooth, and WiFi facilities.

How good is the camera?

Moto X Force has a rear camera with 21 megapixel and auto focus facilities. It also has a front shooter camera with 5 megapixel measurements. This camera also has wide lens so that more people can be featured in selfies.

Where can this phone be bought?

Motorola X Force will be available both on the web as well as off it. This is also the first time that the Moto phones will be available off the internet. The phone will be sold from 8th February onwards. It shall be available on sites such as Amazon and Flipkart. Offline, it will be available at Spice and Croma stores.

What is the possible target group?

Going by the features of the phone – bigger screen and well-nigh unbreakable screen – one can assume that the youth, and young professionals, will be the major target groups for the phone.
