Avengers: Endgame’, trust me when I say this – I have never seen such a craze for a Hollywood movie in India before. The shows for this movie had been booked last Friday itself, so I had to travel to another city to catch the first show. The first show that has played in India started around 0600 hrs in the morning. The madness, the lines, the merchandise – trust me, this was not a movie, It was an Experience.

Plot: The movie is based on the comic book of the same name ‘Avengers’. The movie begins right where the ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ left off. The movie begins after Thanos had used the ‘Infinity Gauntlet’ and wiped off half of the population of the universe. It depicts the efforts of the left ‘Avengers’ to reunite, find the ‘Infinity Gauntlet’, kill Thanos and restore the balance of the universe
Movie Review: I will rate ‘Avengers: Endgame’ not as a movie but rather as a phenomenon. The madness amongst the fans for this movie is a feeling that I have never experienced. This movie concludes the MCU story that began with ‘Ironman’ in 2008. The movie is the final chapter that connects all the MCU superheroes and their sidekicks (Ironman, Thor, Black Panther, Guardians of Galaxy, Captain America, Doctor Strange, Antman, Spiderman, Captain Marvel etc.). The movie is an event which is an interlinking chain to all the MCU superheroes. There are performances that can be mentioned as classics in this one. Robert Downey Jr., playing ‘Ironman’ will go down in the history as one the best superheroes that we have ever had. He has reprised his character with the same freshness, wittiness and attitude, that he has always done. ‘Captain America’ played by Chris Evans is a treat to watch. He looks ever dashing with the shaved look and his chiseled physique. There is a completely new dimension given to the character of ‘Hulk’, played by Mark Ruffalo, which is shocking and yet interesting to watch. ‘Thor’ – the god with golden locks, played by Chris Hemsworth, has changed his look drastically, do watch out for him. Scarlett Johannsson has carved out a special place in our heart for herself in this edition of ‘Avengers’ as ‘Black Widow’. Paul Rudd plays his usual dumb and funny character as ‘Antman’ and has done ample justice to his part. ‘Nebula’ played by Karen Gillan from ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ has played an important character and has done a commendable job. Then there are performances from Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) and many more, that are worth mentioning. There is a commanding performance given by Josh Brolin as ‘Thanos’ that binds the show together and keeps it interesting. We get a glimpse of our favorite Stan Lee, maybe for the last time ever.
‘Avengers’ movies or the MCU have always been famous for their visual effects, and they have delivered strongly yet again. The visual and 3D graphics have set a benchmark for the industry to compete with. The makers of the film have paid attention to all the little details, whether it is graphics, sets or locations. The music of the movie is a combined music of all the MCU previous films. The music just syncs with the visual display like an opera. The music score all belongs to the classics from 70’s and 80’s.
Our Verdict: There is no questioning or doubting this one. Please go and watch this, because this movie is one of a kind. There will not be another ‘Avengers: Endgame’ ever. It’s a once in a lifetime sort of a movie, and you would want to experience it in a movie theatre. It is here to stay in the hearts of people for a long-long time.
