Plot: The film is based on the life of a young journalist, looking to save her career and in search of a scoop. She stumbles upon the topic of the death of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, which changes her life and takes her on an unimaginable journey.
Movie Review: There is just one word to define this movie “confusing”. The movie has one of the most confusing story lines that I have ever come across. The director has so many things that he wants to express, that he forgot to link them together properly. The movie covers such a sensitive topic- the death of second Indian Prime Minister, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri under mysterious circumstances and many more. The director wanted to express the aftermath of his death and its consequences but fails to do so on a reel. Mithun Chakraborty is the only performance worth noticing. Pankaj Tripathi is the other guy to look out for. Rest the complete cast fails miserably. Special mention for over-acting must be made for Shweta Prasad Basu. She has shown us why child prodigies fail in our Bollywood industry. She won the National Award for the best child artist in Makdee and never grew up.
The movie has a bad music score. The director just didn’t know how to connect the music to the movie. The background score doesn’t even save the music for this one. There is nothing to save this movie from having just a miserable and confusing plot.
Our Verdict: Do not watch this movie. It would be better if you could read some books regarding the same. The movie is utterly confusing. The topics are sensitive and thus, should have been handled with more responsibility.
