Coming about 2 years after the Duke 200, the RC 200 has been positioned as the perfect bike for the young biker, the favourite of the college going lot. The changes in the RC 200 include a complete overhaul of the suspension mechanism and in the steering system (in comparison with the Duke) makes it a great city bike. The looks of this Race Competition (RC) motorcycle elicits extreme reactions. The dual projector headlight, the plastic bodywork, and the clip on handle bars give it an alien look. Looks are deceptive, though. The KTM RC 200 offers great value for money and excels in terms of the performance vis-a-vis others in the category.

If none of the above bikes catch your fancy, you’re most likely a Pulsar guy. Fret not, for the Bajaj Pulsar VS 400 is slated for release this year. It is likely to cost less than the KTM Duke 390 and bear a sub 2 lakh price tag. This power cruiser from Bajaj is likely to come with a  fuel injected 375 cc engine (single cylinder,  4-valve, liquid cooled, triple spark) and a 6-speed gearbox.
