The ICC announced the schedule for the tournament on October 3, 2022.

It is planned that the eighth edition of the ICC Women ‘s T20 World Championship will take place in February 2023. It will take place in South Africa from February 10 to February 26, 2023. Australia is now the leading team. Due to the 2022 FIFA World Championship, the International Cricket Council (ICC) stated in November 2020 that the event had been shifted from its intended date at the end of 2022 to February 2023. The ICC announced the schedule for the tournament on October 3, 2022.

India Squad:

The All-India Women’s Selection Panel revealed India’s roster for the subsequent ICC Women’s T20 World Cup set for next year and the upcoming tri-series, which will be conducted in South Africa on December 28. The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 is scheduled to start on February 10, and India will kick off their tournament against Pakistan in Cape Town on February 12.

Ireland, Pakistan, the West Indies, England, and India are members of Group 2. The leading two squads out of each category after the group phase will compete in the semi-final matches. The event is scheduled on February 26.

The team’s leader will be Harmanpreet Kaur, with Smriti Mandhana as her associate. Shikha Pandey, a seasoned pacer, was also selected for the World Cup team. Before being problematically dismissed from the squad in October 2021, she played her final match for India. Her participation highlights the paucity of talent in the pace bowling division. The 33-year-old has participated in three Test matches, 55 One Day International matches, and 56 T20 games. Her ball-swinging skill is his greatest feature.

Despite her underwhelming performance in India’s 1-4 series defeat to powerful Australia, Jemimah Rodrigues has kept her spot in the team. Anjali Sarvani, a left-arm pacer, joined the team after playing her first game against Australia. During the Australian event, India’s bowling shortcomings were exposed, and the team still has considerable work to do ahead of the ICC tournament.

Along with Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Radha Yadav and the squad also has all-rounders Devika Vaidya and Deepti Sharma as spinners.
