Marine Drive, officially known as Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Road, is a three-kilometre-long, six-lane road in southern Mumbai that stretches north along the coastline, forming a natural bay. This C-shaped road links Nariman Point to Babulnath, and is situated at the foot of the Malabar Hill. Known world over as Marine Drive, this tourist spot has also been called Sonapur by the locals of the city. Large crowds of people come to this place to stride along the beautiful walkway and to view the stunning sight of the setting sun at dusk. The scenic beauty of the perfectly lined palm trees offers its visitors an enthralling experience.

Towards the northern end of Marine Drive lies one of the oldest seafronts called the Chowpatty Beach, which is famous for its markets and meals. Hundreds of pedlars walk across the beach to sell different varieties of items, especially on Sunday evenings. Stalls featuring fast food and snacks such as Bhel Puri, Paav Bhaji, etc., are set up in the area every single day. Further down the lane is Walkeshwar, a very affluent and posh area that gets its name from the famous and highly revered Walkeshwar Temple.
