Chokhi Dhani personifies the rustic charm of Rajasthan into a package that is offered to its visitors with modern amenities and simplicity. The warm hospitality is overwhelming and reflects the meaning of Rajasthan’s tag line – “Padharo Mhare Des”. It is situated on the outskirts of Jaipur on the Tonk Road.
Chokhi Dhani can serve as a good weekend gateway to experience the hues of Rajasthan and its traditions. Most of the visitors here come during the evening to the Chokhi Dhani Village. A special fair is organised with many entertainment options for kids like magic shows, elephant and camel rides, special folk dance performance, puppet shows, carousals, etc.
Apart from the entry fee, you will be required to shell out extra money on these attractions that have different rates. Also, the performers ask for tips once they are done with their acts. One complimentary meal is included in the package for Chokhi Dhani Village. The food here is delicious and served generously but the waiting times is disappointing. I had to wait for almost an hour at the buffet for my turn.
Chokhi Dhani Resort has spacious cottages and special Haveli suites for accommodation. It is a five star resort with an elegant appeal but it is over priced if we take services and facilities also into account.
