It is a custard-like dessert made with heavy cream with caramelized sugar on the top. The caramelized sugar gets prepared using a fire torch, and the dessert is baked in an oven. Unfortunately, not everyone has the fire torch or a baking oven or maybe both. However, it does not mean that they won\u2019t enjoy this yummy dessert at home. In this recipe, you will learn how to prepare the dessert without the oven and even prepare the caramel on top without using the fire torch.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Ingredients: (Serves 2)<\/h2>\n<h3><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">For the Cr\u00e8me<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Egg yolks- 3<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Heavy Cream- 1 \u00bd cup<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Sugar \u2013 3 to 4 tbsp.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">For the caramel<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Sugar- 2tbsp.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Water \u2013 1tbsp.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><em>For Garnish<\/em><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Strawberries \u2013 1,\u00a0<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">chopped (<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">For garnish<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">)<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Peppermint Leaves \u2013 2 to 3 leaves<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Method:<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Take a medium-sized pot and put it on flame.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In the pot, pour in the heavy cream and 2 tbsp of sugar and boil on low flame.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">After the cream starts boiling, please turn off the flame and allow it to cool down.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Meanwhile, take a bowl and add in the egg yolks.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Start whisking the egg yolks and gradually add the leftover two tablespoons of sugar.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Continue to whisk the egg yolks and sugar until the sugar starts dissolving.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">When the sugar starts to dissolve, gradually add the boiled cream and whisk them all together well.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">When all the ingredients get mixed well, take two ceramic dessert bowls and pour in the mixture equally in both.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Take a large pan, and keeping the flame medium, cover the pan with its lid. Allow it to preheat for about 9 to 10 minutes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">After the large pan gets preheated, take the lid off and turn the flame to low.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Place a silver rack or stand in the middle of the pan. If you do not have the stand, you can use a silver bowl.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Place the bowls with the cr\u00e8me mixture on the stand and cover the large pan with the lid. Bake the Cr\u00e8me Brule for 15 to 20 minutes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">After the desserts are well baked, take them out and allow them to cool down.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">While they cool down, take another pan and put it on flame.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In that pan, add two tablespoons of sugar and one tablespoon of water.
