Feeling dizzy and vertigo is not the same thing. Dizziness can occasionally happen due to other factors, but vertigo attacks occur more often under certain circumstances, such as looking down from heights.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> There are two basic types of vertigos:\u00a0<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">peripheral vertigo\u00a0<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and\u00a0<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">central vertigo.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Peripheral vertigo refers to the kind of vertigo that is caused due to a problem in the inner part of the ear or the vestibular nerve. Central Vertigo refers to the type of vertigo that is caused by any problem in the cerebellum.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>What are the symptoms of vertigo?<\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Vertigo makes an individual feel dizzy, and they feel like everything is spinning around. Many individuals think a few other symptoms as well simultaneously, including:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Difficulty balancing<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Nausea<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Feeling like vomiting<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Sweating<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Headache<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Blurry vision<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Difficulty breathing<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Difficulty hearing<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Weak limbs<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What causes Vertigo?<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Labyrinthitis<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Vestibular neuritis<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Cholesteatoma<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Meniere\u2019s disease<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Migraines<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Any injury in the head<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Any damage or surgery of the ear<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Any problem primarily causes vertigo in the inner part of the ear or any situation in the central nervous system (CNS).<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>How is Vertigo treated?<\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The treatment of vertigo depends on the underlying which has caused of it. However, many individuals do not require many treatments other than a few lifestyle changes and antibiotics.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Some lifestyle changes to treat vertigo:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Sitting down immediately when you start feeling dizzy<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">If the spinning\/dizziness is severe, you can lye down on the bed with lights turned off<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Getting up from bed slowly<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Avoid fast movements; when getting up from bed, walking on stairs or heights<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">If you have frequent vertigo attacks and it causes a significant disruption in your regular activities, consult a doctor immediately.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vertigo refers to a feeling or sensation in which an individual feels dizzy and feels like the environment or room is moving in which they are present.
