Hindus and people from other communities around the globe celebrate in many different ways. For example, Bengalis celebrate Janmashtami by serving Lord Krishna a variety of homemade sweets, especially those prepared with milk chenna (paneer\/cottage cheese) and butter. It is believed that Lord Krishna loved it a lot. Among many sweets, \u201cKolar Bora\u201d is one of the typical dishes made on the occasion of Janmashtami. It is ripe banana fritters made with a few simple ingredients.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ingredients:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ripe bananas- 3 large<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Semolina flour- \u00bd cup<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Sugar- 3 tbsp. (Depending on the sweetness you prefer)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Oil- To deep fry<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">A pinch of salt<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Method:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Take a large bowl. Peel the bananas and add them to the bowl. With the help of a fork, mash the bananas, so there is no large piece of the banana left. It can also be mashed using the hands.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">After the bananas are completely mashed, add sugar gradually and mix it along with the bananas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Add a pinch of salt and remix it.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Gradually add the semolina flour and mix it with the mashed bananas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The consistency should be thick enough to form into small balls. If needed, you can add some more semolina flour to make it thick.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Take a pan heat it.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Pour enough oil to deep fry.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">When the oil heats up, take the batter in your hands enough to form small bowls and pour it in the oil.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Fry them on medium flame until they turn brown.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">When the fritters become brown, take them off the pan.
