Biryani is made with mutton and chicken. Fish is mainly eaten in South India.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Let\u2019s make an exotic fish biryani:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ingredients:<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1 kg any fish<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">2 kg onions\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">3-4 green chillies\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">3-4 cloves of garlic<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1\/2 ginger<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">2-3 spoons of lemon juice<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1\/2 cup coriander leaves<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">2 cups yoghurt\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Salt to taste<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1 \u00bd kg basmati biryani rice\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">4 tbsp ghee<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1 cup cooking oil<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">2-3 tomatoes\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">2 tsp turmeric powder<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">3 Tbsp cashew nuts crushed\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1 Tbsp raisin<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Five glasses water ( according to the number of rice cups)\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Three pods of cardamom<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">One cinnamon stick<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1 tbsp of garam masala<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Recipe:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Take 1-2 onions and cut finely into thin slices.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Heat oil in a pan and add the sliced onions. Fry until golden brown.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Add some cashew nuts and raisins, fry them well, and keep them aside.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Add 1 tbsp of turmeric powder to the fish and add enough salt and a spoon of water to this fish. Apply the turmeric paste well until the fish gets the yellow turmeric colour.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan and lightly fry the fish till it gets golden brown, then keep it aside.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a heavy cooker. Now, grind the remaining sliced onions in a blender with 1 cup water.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Add the mixture of onion to the hot oil.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Crush the ginger, garlic and green chillies in a grinder.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Add this paste to the mixture of onions and stir well for 4-5 minutes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Include the tomatoes, yoghurt and salt. Cook it for some time till the water evaporates.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Add the fried pieces of fish, which are in the coriander leaves and the juice of lemons.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Keep it aside.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">For the Rice:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u2022Heat ghee in a non-stick pan and add one chopped onion, cardamom and cinnamon stick. Now add the washed rice and drain without any water.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Boil the water and add some salt and cook on high flame till the water gets absorbed by the rice.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Place a lid over the rice and let it be covered for 10 minutes.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Sprinkle a bit of garam masala powder over the rice.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Now take a vessel and add the cooked rice in one layer at the bottom.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Add a spoon of the fish masala.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Add over some fried onion, cashew nuts, almonds, raisins and a little garam masala powder and cover with a layer of rice.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Layer it up, finishing with the garnishes on top of rice.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Take a napkin and dampen it with water and cover the vessel.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Put the biryani on low flame for 40 minutes with light heat for the flavours.
