You can choose to have ice tea with breakfast, lunch or dinner, whether you are having Indian or continental food. In fact it is better to have ice tea rather than other aerated drinks. Many restaurants in India and abroad offer this in their drinks menu. To create a different variation to ice tea, I added orange and mint to it and made Orange Mint Ice Tea. The orange brown colour of the drink is very exciting and the ice cubes just make it irresistible. The drink would go very well with the humid climate in India. Replace a cup of your daily tea or coffee with Orange Mint Ice Tea and mesmerize in its taste with this simple and easy recipe.

Orange Mint Ice Tea Recipe

(Serves 2)

All you need is:

Tea leaves – 2 tsp

Sugar – 2 tsp

Water – 1 cup

Orange juice – 1 cup

lemon juice – 2 tbsp

Ice

Mint leaves – a few sprigs

Procedure:

Add water in a pan and add tea leaves and sugar.

Cook till it comes to a boil.

Lower the heat and cook for 2 minutes.

Strain and keep aside and cool.

Fill the glass with ice cubes.

Add half of the tea in the glass.

Fill with orange juice.

Add 1 tbsp lemon juice in each glass.

Add lots of mint leaves.

Serve chilled.

Ice tea is a very versatile drink and it goes as an accompaniment with nearly all meal courses.
