This will help anyone to kick start their day with much energy. The dish is highly nutritious and highly recommended for people who are on a diet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ingredients<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">2tsp chana dal<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">2 tsp green gran<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">2 tsp Toor dal<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1 tsp black pepper<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1 tsp cumin<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00bd small cup of dry coconut<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Three sprigs of curry leaves<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">3 tsp of sesame<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1 pinch cinnamon<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">One fist of moringa leaves<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1-inch dry ginger<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00bc the tsp of asafetida<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">(These are the ingredients for masala preparation) and other ingredients are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">2.5 cups of water<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1 cup of fox millet<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">2carrots ( chopped)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1 cup of fresh green peas<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1cup of a large onion ( chopped)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1 cup of bottled gourd<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">2 tsp turmeric\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1 cup of any leafy vegetable<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Salt for taste\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">3 tsp fresh cow ghee<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1 cup of Coriander<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">One lemon\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Recipe<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">First, take a bowl and cleanly wash the millet,s and soak them for 2 hours.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Take a pan and put it on medium flame. Once the pan gets heated, drop in all the ingredients for the masala mentioned above and roast them on low flame. After roasting, grind them into fine powder. This masala gives the best taste to the Khichdi.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Now take a heavy bottom vessel. Pour in 2.5 cups of water. Boil the water on a low-medium flame. Once the water starts boiling, add the soaked and drained millets and cook on medium flame until the millets are 50% cooked.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Mix well with carrot, peas, bottle gourd, turmeric, and onions. Let it cook for 3 minutes. Add any leafy vegetables, cover, and cook for 5-7 minutes on low flame.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Next, add the Ground powder, salt ( as required) and mix well.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">As the dish is about to complete, there will be no more water, and it gets the khichdi form.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Garnish the Khichdi with coriander and ghee.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Cut the stove off, and Multi-Grain Millet Khichdi is ready to serve.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Tip: Fox millets can be replaced with any kind of millet like Jowar, wheat, etc., and vegetables can be of any choice.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Multi-Grain Millet Khichdi is a healthy alternative to routine morning breakfasts.
