It is pretty similar to the Kathi roll, and you can use different kinds of stuffing like chicken, vegetables and cheese.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ingredients:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1 kg of chicken breasts and thigh pieces, skinless and boneless<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">(For Marinating):<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Two large garlic cloves<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1 tbsp of coriander powder<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">2 tbsp cumin powder<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1 tbsp cardamom powder<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1 tsp cayenne pepper powder (reduce to 1\/2 tsp if you don\u2019t want to make it spicier)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1 tsp red smoked paprika<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">3 tsp salt<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1 tsp Black pepper\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1 tbsp lemon juice<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">2 tbsp of olive oil<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">(For Yoghurt Sauce):<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1 cup Greek yoghurt<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">One clove garlic, crushed<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1 tsp cumin<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">A squeeze of lemon juice<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Salt and pepper<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">To Serve:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Four flatbreads (Garlic bread, pita bread or homemade soft bread)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Chopped lettuce leaves<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Sliced tomatoes\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Instructions:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Combine all of the ingredients mentioned above in a large glass bowl.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0Add the boneless sliced chicken breasts and thigh pieces in the bowl and by using your hands, make sure to coat each piece of chicken with the marinade ingredients.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Keep the Marinated chicken in the fridge overnight so that the chicken gets mixed up and squeezes up with all the flavours.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Now pour ingredients of the Yoghurt Sauce into a glass bowl and mix them well with each other. Then cover the bowl with a lid and put it in the fridge until required. You can also use this for 3-4 days as it can last for a few days in the refrigerator.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Now heat a barbeque\/griller (or a heavy-based pan on the stove) on a medium or high flame. There\u2019s no need to grease it with oil because the marinade contains a lot of oil, and chicken fillets have good fat.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0Place the marinated chicken pieces on the griller, barbecue or pan, cook one side of chicken for 6 to 7 minutes until it gets brown, then flip it to the backside and cook the other side for 3 to 4 minutes until it gets golden brown.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Remove the chicken fillets from the grill and cover them loosely with the help of a foil. Keep it aside to rest for 6-7 minutes.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">To Serve:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Slice the chicken into mashed form and keep it on a plate alongside flatbreads, Salad and the Yoghurt Sauce.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">To make a fine wrap:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Get a piece of flatbread and mix the mixture with Yoghurt Sauce.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Top it with some lettuce leaves and Chicken Shawarma.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Roll it up and enjoy with ketchup.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Shawarma is a delicious snack that is very famous in India.
