The versatility of milk is undisputed. Talking about sweets, it can be used to make Milk Peda, a simple yet delicious sweet. There is always something special about what you make yourself, and although you can make a lovely simple <em>peda<\/em>, I bought a design stamp to create a nice impression on my\u00a0<em>pedas<\/em> for an enhanced appeal. \u00a0You too can buy these stamps from local sweet shops, or just let your simplicity create the magic. Let&#8217;s get started!<\/p>\n<h2>Ingredients needed for\u00a0Milk Peda<\/h2>\n<p><strong> (Makes 24)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Milk powder &#8211; 2 cups<\/li>\n<li><em>Ghee<\/em> &#8211; 2 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Condensed milk &#8211; 1 can<\/li>\n<li>Sugar &#8211; 2 \u00a0tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Cardamom powder &#8211; 1 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Saffron &#8211; a pinch<\/li>\n<li>Almond and pistachio slivers for garnishing (optional but recommended)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to make Milk Peda<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Mix milk powder, condensed milk and sugar in a pan.<\/li>\n<li>Heat on low flame.<\/li>\n<li>Add<em> ghee, cardamom powder\u00a0<\/em>and saffron.<\/li>\n<li>Cook till the mixture starts to leave the sides of the pan.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from heat and cool for 15-20 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Grease your hands with<em> ghee<\/em> and make small rounds.<\/li>\n<li>Press the rounds a little bit.<\/li>\n<li>If you have a design template, press it on top of the <em>peda<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Garnish with almond and pistachio slivers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One can never stop wondering what all milk can be used for, be it giving a glass-full to kids, making milk shakes, having a healthy breakfast with oats and cornflakes, or making sweets.
