I make mostly traditional <em>parathas;<\/em>\u00a0however, <em>parathas\u00a0<\/em>are so tantalizingly flexible to experimentation that I decided to make Broccoli Paratha. \u00a0This amazing vegetable filled in the <em>paratha<\/em> creates a unique taste and color which is appealing and delicious. The <em>paratha<\/em> can be had with plain <em>dahi<\/em> or with your choice of curry or <em>achaar<\/em>. Broccoli Paratha is made by filling grated broccoli with other spices in the whole-wheat kneaded balls and cooked on a <em>tawa<\/em> with some <em>desi ghee.\u00a0<\/em>You can get more creative and fill in different mixture of broccoli with onions or cottage cheese or maybe cauliflower. Let&#8217;s see how to make Broccoli Paratha with this easy-to-follow recipe.<\/p>\n<h2>Ingredients needed for\u00a0Broccoli Paratha<\/h2>\n<p><strong>(serves 2 )<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Whole wheat flour &#8211; 2 cup<\/p>\n<p>Broccoli &#8211; 1 cup ( grated )<\/p>\n<p>Ginger &#8211; 1\/2 inch piece ( grated )<\/p>\n<p>Salt to taste<\/p>\n<p>Green chili &#8211; 1 ( chopped )<\/p>\n<p>Onion &#8211; 1 ( chopped )<\/p>\n<p><em>Garam masala<\/em> &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Oil for frying<\/p>\n<h2>How to make Broccoli Paratha<\/h2>\n<p>Make a soft dough with wheat flour and water.<\/p>\n<p>Cover and keep aside for 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Mix grated broccoli, salt, ginger, green chili, onion and <em>garam masala<\/em> in a bowl.<\/p>\n<p>Take a small-sized ball of dough and slightly roll it.<\/p>\n<p>Keep 2 tbsp of filling in the center of the dough and bring the ends together.<\/p>\n<p>Roll to make a ball.<\/p>\n<p>Dust and roll to make a flat disc, about 6 inches in size.<\/p>\n<p>Heat a griddle and fry the<em> paratha<\/em> from both the sides using little oil.<\/p>\n<p>Serve hot with <em>aachar<\/em> and curd.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just like millions of Indians, I often make parathas for breakfast.
