He is the only actor born into a family of doctors. His father, Dr Manish Tiwari, is a paediatrician, while his mother, Dr Mala Tiwari is a gynaecologist. His younger sister Kritika Tiwari is also a doctor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">He completed his early education in Gwalior and moved to Mumbai to pursue an engineering degree in biotechnology from D Y Patil College of Engineering in Navi Mumbai. The following year Kartik gave another hit movie &#8216;Luka Chuppi&#8217; with his co-star Kriti Sanon. His next releases were &#8216;Pati Patni Aur Woh&#8217; and &#8216;Love Aaj Kal&#8217;. While the former did well at the Box Office, the latter failed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">He next starred in Ram Madhvani&#8217;s thriller titled Dhamaka. The film was shot in ten days, and Kartik&#8217;s performance was appreciated by the audience and the critics. He was last seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, a sequel to the 2007 movie with the same title.
