With the amendments to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the Constitution <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of India, there are <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">now <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">12 Schedules. <\/span>This blog offers you an overview of Indian Constitution Schedules.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Let&#8217;s talk about each schedule Schedule<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It consists of<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0measures for <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the administration and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">governance <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of Scheduled t<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">erritories <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and tribes.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Sixth Schedule<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">includes rules for <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">management <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of tribal <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">territories <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meghalaya, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tripura,\u00a0 <\/span><span 400;\">Bengali<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Bodo<\/li>\n<li>Assamese<\/li>\n<li>Gujarat<\/li>\n<li>Hindi<\/li>\n<li>Dogri<\/li>\n<li>Kashmiri<\/li>\n<li>Konkani<\/li>\n<li>Kannada<\/li>\n<li>Malayalam<\/li>\n<li>Mathili (Maithili)<\/li>\n<li>Manipuri<\/li>\n<li>Sindhi<\/li>\n<li>Marathi<\/li>\n<li>Nepali<\/li>\n<li>Oriya<\/li>\n<li>Punjabi<\/li>\n<li>Urdu<\/li>\n<li>Sanskrit<\/li>\n<li>Tamil<\/li>\n<li>Santhali<\/li>\n<li>Telugu<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Ninth Schedule<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">concerned <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">with governmental<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> legislation <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">laws dealing <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">with land reforms and the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">eradication <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of the zamindari system.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It also <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">addresses <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the Parliament&#8217;s <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">actions <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">rules <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">on <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">several topics.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Points to be noted:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Ninth schedule got included in list in 1951 by the virtue of first Amendment Act. It basically prevent legislations from judicial examination on the ground of infringement of basic rights.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, the Supreme Court <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">declared <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in 2007 that the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">statutes <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">included in this schedule <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">following<\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">April 24, 1973, are now <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">subject <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to judicial <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">examination.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Tenth Schedule<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">includes <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">provisions <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the disqualification of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">representatives <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of Parliament and state legislatures <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for secession.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Points to be noted:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 52nd Amendment Act of 1985, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">often <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">known as the Anti-defection Law, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">included <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">this schedule.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Eleventh Schedule<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It contains 29 provisions. These provisions specify the powers, authority, and responsibilities of Panchayats.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Point to be noted:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">virtue <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the 73rd Amendment Act of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1992, this schedule was added.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Twelfth Schedule<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">concerned <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">with the provisions that <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">define <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Municipalities&#8217; powers, authority, and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">obligations. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has 18 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">provisions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Points to be note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 74th Amendment Act of 1992 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">included <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">this schedule.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Indian Constitution contains 12 Schedules.
