One of the key features is that the school is accessible from any place. Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, claims the school will have special educators trained to take online lectures and intends to increase the enrolment ratio, particularly for people who do not have exposure to physical schools. The Delhi Model Virtual School (DMVS) application procedure has already commenced.

As per news18, while stating the announcement, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal remarked, “I feel that every student should go to schools, but there are many children who do not have access to education, and this move is aimed at ensuring education reaching children at the last end of the society.”

According to Kejriwal, the school would provide online lessons such as virtual presentations, recorded and live lessons, and skill-based programs, as well as preparation for competitive examinations such as JEE Main, NEET, and CUET. Moreover, the school will initially serve students in grades 9 through 12 and will be part of the newly formed Delhi Board of Secondary Education (DBSE).

Application Process

The first batch’s application procedure has already begun.

Interested applicants should apply online at www.dmvs.ac.in.

Anyone between 13 and 18 who has completed at least class 8 at a certified school may apply to class 9 at this virtual school.

As per news18, When asked about the targeted youngsters, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated, “This school is being launched with an aim to offer education to children who beg on roads, kids from far off villages who do not have a proper school, girls from socially underprivileged backgrounds who are not allowed to take admission to a school outside their neighborhood. Kids who cannot go to school will have the opportunity to access education from home in virtual mode.”

Faculty

According to Kejriwal, the virtual school would feature teachers who have been properly educated to instruct in virtual modes.

The virtual school will also include a schooling platform developed in collaboration with Google and Schoolnet India, which will consist of live video, recorded video, a digital library, and access modules.

As stated on the official website, students may participate in courses and educational material at their speed, and all live classes will be stored for later use.
