It is enjoyed by the locals and has also awed many who visit the state for tourism. Malpua&#8217;s are fairly easy to make and can be done easily at home, its basically a pancake covered all over with the sugar syrup. You can decorate it with dry fruits to make it look more appealing, it can be served as a dessert with or without <em>rabdi. <\/em>Malpua&#8217;s can be served through the day when you want and will sure cater to the sweet tooth. Just make the batter, pour it in the <em>desi ghee<\/em>, decorate and serve. Here is the wonderful Malpua recipe for you to use.<\/p>\n<h2>Ingredients needed for\u00a0Malpua<\/h2>\n<p><strong>(serves 4)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maida &#8211; 1 cup<\/li>\n<li>Milk &#8211; 1 1\/2 cup (warm milk should be used)<\/li>\n<li>Khoya &#8211; 1\/2 cup (grated)<\/li>\n<li>Sugar &#8211; 2 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Salt &#8211; a pinch<\/li>\n<li>Saunf- 1 tsp (ground it coarsely)<\/li>\n<li>Baking powder &#8211; a small pinch<\/li>\n<li>Desi ghee for frying<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">For Sugar syrup<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Water &#8211; 1\\4 cup<\/li>\n<li>Sugar &#8211; 1 cup<\/li>\n<li>Elaichi\u00a0&#8211; 2-3 ( grounded )<\/li>\n<li>Saffron &#8211; about 10 strands<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to make\u00a0Malpua<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Sugar Syrup<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To make sugar syrup\u00a0add all ingredients in a\u00a0pan.<\/li>\n<li>Cook till the syrup is of one string consistency and keep aside<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Malpua<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mix half of warm milk and khoya in a bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Add <em>maida<\/em> and mix.<\/li>\n<li>Add sugar, salt, saunf, baking powder and mix well.<\/li>\n<li>Add the remaining milk and mix to a smooth batter.<\/li>\n<li>Heat ghee in a pan.<\/li>\n<li>Mix the batter and pour\u00a0about 2 tbsp in the <em>desi ghee<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Keep the sugar syrup by the side.<\/li>\n<li>Fry the\u00a0Malpua on low heat\u00a0from both the sides till golden brown.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from ghee and dip in the sugar syrup.
