It has been my favorite for a long long time and I&#8217;m sure that just like me, many of you love this too. A combination of homemade <em>rajma<\/em> and white rice goes well the day its made, and tastes much better the next day! You can serve it for any of your daily meals with some <em>dahi<\/em> or <em>achaar<\/em>. Every home has their very own and unique <em>rajma<\/em> recipe and I&#8217;ll share here what has been a tradition in our family. The only preparation involved here is soaking the <em>rajma<\/em> overnight, for it to be ready for cooking. Once you have done that, it&#8217;s fairly easy to do the rest. Obviously, making white boiled rice is no work at all. So use this simple Rajma Chawal recipe to enjoy your daily meal.<\/p>\n<h2>Ingredients needed for\u00a0Rajma Chawal<\/h2>\n<p><strong>(serves 4)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Rajma<\/em> &#8211; 2 cups (Soaked and boiled till soft)<\/li>\n<li>Oil &#8211; 4 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Onion &#8211; 1 cup<\/li>\n<li>Ginger garlic paste &#8211; 2 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Tomato &#8211; 1 cup (chopped)<\/li>\n<li><em>Rajma masala<\/em> &#8211; 2 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Coriander powder &#8211; 2 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Turmeric powder &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Red chili powder &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Coriander &#8211; 2 tbsp<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>How to make Rajma Chawal<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Heat oil in a pan.<\/li>\n<li>Add onions and fry till golden brown.<\/li>\n<li>Add ginger-garlic paste and fry for a minute.<\/li>\n<li>Add tomato and fry for 2 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Add <em>rajma masala<\/em>, coriander powder, turmeric powder and red-chili powder.<\/li>\n<li>Fry for a minute.<\/li>\n<li>Add the cooked<em> rajma<\/em> and a cup of water.<\/li>\n<li>Cook for 8-10 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Garnish with fresh coriander.<\/li>\n<li>Serve hot with rice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I can have Rajma Chawal any day of the year.
