Today I made <em>kalakand<\/em> with <em>sitaphal<\/em> added to it and so called it Sitaphal Kalakand. All sweet lovers enjoy <em>kalakand<\/em> and this addition gives another unique variation to it and let&#8217;s you enjoy the flavor&#8217;s of this fruit along with the sweet. Its not easy to find Sitaphal Kalakand in the market, so you could also impress your guests with your very own flavor sweet. Let&#8217;s see how to make it with this Sitaphal Kalakand Recipe.<\/p>\n<h2>Ingredients needed for\u00a0Sitaphal Kalakand<\/h2>\n<p><strong> (makes 10-12 pieces )<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Milk &#8211; 2 litre<\/p>\n<p>Lemon juice &#8211; 2 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Sugar &#8211; 1\\2 cup ( powdered )<\/p>\n<p>Custard apple \\ <em>Sitapha<\/em>l &#8211; 1 cup<\/p>\n<p>Pistachios &#8211; 8-10 ( slivered )<\/p>\n<h2>How to make Sitaphal Kalakand<\/h2>\n<p>Divide the milk in two pan.<\/p>\n<p>Heat one pan till the milk has reduced to half.<\/p>\n<p>Bring the milk in the other pan to a boil.<\/p>\n<p>When the milk comes to a boil, simmer the heat.<\/p>\n<p>Add lemon juice to the milk.<\/p>\n<p>The milk will curdle.<\/p>\n<p>Switch off the gas and drain the milk in a cotton cloth.<\/p>\n<p>Bring the sides of the cloth together and drain all the whey from the paneer.<\/p>\n<p>Run the cloth under fresh water to remove any trace of lemon from it.<\/p>\n<p>Add this paneer in the other pan when the milk has reduced to half.<\/p>\n<p>Cook till the mixture starts to leave the sides of the pan.<\/p>\n<p>Add sugar and custard apple and cook for another 2-3 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Add cardamom powder.<\/p>\n<p>Grease a plate with ghee.<\/p>\n<p>Pour the mixture in the greased plate and spread evenly.<\/p>\n<p>Garnish with pistachio slivers.<\/p>\n<p>Let the kalakand set.<\/p>\n<p>When set, cut into small pieces.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Custard apple or sitaphal is known the world over for its health benefits, it is rich in vitamin C and nutrients like potassium and magnesium, in India as well it has been consumed for ages and many people also use it for religious purposes.
