Five franchises will be taking part in the first season of WPL, which will take place in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. The predecessor of the WPL was the Women&#8217;s T20 Challenge, which started as a one-match tournament in 2018 and expanded to three-team and three-match matches in 2019, 2020, and 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Women&#8217;s Premier League 2023<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The 2023 edition of the Indian Women&#8217;s Cricket Premier League is approaching, and fans are looking forward to it. The WPL 2023 schedule featuring some of the world&#8217;s best players will kick off in March 2023. The winner of the competition will be decided among five teams. There will be 22 matches, including the championship and the semi-final matches. The competition will include some of the most well-known female cricketers, including Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami, Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry, and Harmanpreet Kaur. The matches will follow the day-night schedule.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">WPL Auction 2023<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The Women&#8217;s Premier League 2023 scheduled auction occurred on February 13, 2023. The International Cricket Council and the Indian Premier League collaborated with the Board of Control for Cricket in India for the auction.
