Opening the fridge I spotted a frozen peas packet which I grabbed and prepared nice Masaledaar Matar. The bowl of this tasty snack was just loved by everyone and I was glad that even at a short notice I was able to make something so wonderful. Let&#8217;s see the recipe and enjoy another day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All you need is (serves 4)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Oil &#8211; 2 tsp<\/p>\n<p><em>Zeera<\/em> &#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<p><em>Heeng<\/em> &#8211; 1\/4 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Ginger &#8211; 2 tsp (grated)<\/p>\n<p>Green chili &#8211; 1 or 2 (cut in small pieces)<\/p>\n<p><em>Dhania<\/em> powder &#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Salt to taste<\/p>\n<p>Red chili powder &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/p>\n<p><em>Chaat masala<\/em> &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Squeezed lemon &#8211; 1<\/p>\n<h2>Masaledaar Matar Recipe<\/h2>\n<p>Preparation time: 5 min.<\/p>\n<p>Cooking time: 15 min.<\/p>\n<p>Boil the peas with about 1 tbsp water for few min.<\/p>\n<p>Heat oil in a pan and when it is hot, add <em>zeera<\/em> and <em>heeng<\/em> and wait for it to start crackling.<\/p>\n<p>Add ginger, salt, red chili powder and <em>dhania<\/em> powder with peas and cook for 5-7 min.<\/p>\n<p>Add green chili, lemon juice and <em>chaat masala<\/em> and mix well.<\/p>\n<p>Transfer to a serving bowl and serve hot and fresh.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;d a sudden call this morning from few guests coming over to our home and as usual the biggest dilemma was what to serve in the snacks with tea or coffee apart from regular biscuits and namkeen.
