Most of the people in India love <em>paneer<\/em>, so this dish goes well with the masses and great for vegetarians opting for Chinese option. The spring onions and capsicum adds to the taste and makes it very appealing and as obvious the spices create the magic. Its fairly easy to make Chilly Paneer and it is best suited for small parties or evening snack\/ starters. Depending on number of people you can alter the amount of paneer and suit your personal needs. So let&#8217;s see Chilly Paneer Recipe today and enjoy the spices once again.<\/p>\n<h2>Ingredients needed for\u00a0Chilly Paneer<\/h2>\n<p><strong>(serves 4)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Paneer &#8211; 400 gms<\/p>\n<p>Spring onion &#8211; 2 tbsp (chopped) + for garnishing<\/p>\n<p>Onion &#8211; 1\/2 cup (cut in square pieces)<\/p>\n<p>Garlic &#8211; 5\/6 cloves (cut in small pieces)<\/p>\n<p>Green chili &#8211; 1 to 2 (cut in small pieces)<\/p>\n<p>Oil for frying + 1 tbsp<\/p>\n<p>Salt to taste<\/p>\n<p>Red chili powder &#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Soya sauce &#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Vinegar &#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<p>MSG &#8211; 1\/4 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Cornflour &#8211; 1 tbsp (mixed in 1\/4 cup of water)<\/p>\n<p><em>For Batter<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Cornflour &#8211; 1\/4 cup<\/p>\n<p><em>Maida<\/em> &#8211; 1\/4 cup<\/p>\n<p>Salt to taste<\/p>\n<h2>How to make Chilly Paneer<\/h2>\n<p>Preparation time: 15 min.<\/p>\n<p>Cooking time: 15 min.<\/p>\n<p>Mix the ingredients for the batter with water to make a smooth paste.<\/p>\n<p>Cut the <em>paneer<\/em> in small pieces, dip the pieces in the batter and deep fry.<\/p>\n<p>Drain the oil and keep <em>paneer<\/em> pieces aside.<\/p>\n<p>In a wok, take 1 tbsp oil and add garlic, onion, spring onion, capsicum, green chili and toss well.<\/p>\n<p>Add soy sauce, salt, red chili powder, MSG, vinegar and toss again.<\/p>\n<p>Add <em>paneer<\/em> pieces and cornflour mixture and cook for a minute with continuous tossing.<\/p>\n<p>Garnish with spring onion.<\/p>\n<p>Serve hot.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been longing to eat something spicy for some time now so today evening I made Chilly Paneer a typical Chinese touch to a wholly Indian ingredient.
